This mod requires Brave New World. It is part of the Slava Ukraini event. It renames the City-State of Kiev to Minsk.

Ukraine[]
Ukraine is a country in Eastern Europe. It is the second-largest European country after Russia, which it borders to the east and northeast. During the Middle Ages, Ukraine was the site of early Slavic expansion and the area later became a key centre of East Slavic culture under the state of Kyivan Rus', which emerged in the 9th century. The area was then contested, divided, and ruled by a variety of external powers for the next 600 years, including the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Austrian Empire, the Ottoman Empire, and the Tsardom of Russia. Ukrainian nationalism developed, and following the Russian Revolution in 1917, the short-lived Ukrainian People's Republic was formed. The Bolsheviks consolidated control over much of the former empire and established the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Ukraine gained independence in 1991 as the Soviet Union dissolved, and declared itself neutral. A series of mass demonstrations, known as the Euromaidan, led to the establishment of a new government in 2014 after a revolution. Russia then unilaterally annexed Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula; and pro-Russian unrest culminated in a war between Russian-backed separatists and government forces in eastern Ukraine. Russia later launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Symon Petliura[]
Symon Vasylyovych Petliura was a Ukrainian politician and journalist, and second chairman of the Directorate of Ukraine, a position effectively equivalent to that of president, as well as the Supreme Commander of the Ukrainian Army, during the Ukrainian People's Republic struggle for sovereignty in the Ukrainian War of Independence from 1917 to 1921. Following the Ukrainian defeat, Petliura became President of the Ukrainian People's Republic in exile until his assassination in 1926.

Beset by enemies on all sides, you sought allies where you could, aligning with the French, Romania, and later the Poles against the ever-increasing aggressiveness of the Red Army and the Bolsheviks. Exhausted from years of war and trauma, you desperately withstood the advances of your enemies until it was too much, and the work to grow international support through cultural exchanges was not enough, and you were forced to flee into exile. It was first in Poland, then finally in Paris, where you directed the Ukrainian People's Republic in exile. Right up until your last moment, your assassination in Paris, you never lost hope that, one day, the sunflowers would bloom in an independent Ukraine once more.

The homeland is in peril, as an old enemy rears its hideous face once more, and the people of Ukraine have come to lionise you as they once did.
