Overview[]
The Inca[]
The largest Pre-Columbian empire in the Americas, the Incan Empire stretched from Peru to Chile along the Andes Mountains. This grand empire had humble beginnings in one small kingdom, but grew to dominate the whole of "civilized" South America. While the empire only lasted for one brief century, it did much to unify the people and culture of the different tribes living on the mountain tops. Despite the Inca's near and complete annihilation, many artifacts and physical structures still stand, such as the famed Machu Picchu, a testament of the power once wielded by the Incan kings.
Tupac Yupanqui[]
Tupac Inca Yupanqui, translated as "noble Inca accountant," was the tenth Sapa Inca of the Inca Empire, fifth of the Hanan dynasty. His father was Pachacuti, and his son was Huayna Capac. He belonged to the Qhapaq panaca, one of the clans of Inca nobles. His wife was his older sister, Mama Ocllo. His father appointed him to head the Inca army in 1463. He extended the realm northward along the Andes through modern Ecuador, and developed a special fondness for the city of Quito, which he rebuilt with architects from Cuzco. During this time his father Pachacuti reorganized the kingdom of Cuzco into the Tahuantinsuyu, the "four provinces." Tupac Inca led extensive military conquests to extend the Inca empire across much of Southern America.
Dawn of Man[]
Blessings of Inti upon you, oh Tupac Yupanqui! You are the leader of the Inca people, a great and powerful empire stretching across the backbone of South America. Although you were still young, your father - the Earth Shaker - deemed you worthy to lead the armies of your people to greatness. You took this task with pride, and expanded the control of your empire to the far corners of the Andes. But this did not satisfy you, and you sought to expand your reach beyond the waves themselves - bravely setting off toward the setting sun in search of new lands to rule.

Sapa Inca! Your enemies close in once more, rising from the lands below to challenge your rule over the highlands. The Inca look to you to restore their rightful place at the forefront. Will you heed their call, and return from beyond the waves to lead once more? Will you vanquish your foes and expand your reach to all beneath the heavens? Will you build a civilization that can stand the test of time?
Introduction: "I am Tupac Yupanqui, Sapa Inca of the Inca. Welcome to my empire."
Introduction: "Welcome to the mighty Incan Empire, foreigner. Have you adjusted to the altitude?"
Defeat: "How has this happened? Someone has betrayed me!"
