New Granada[]
The Republic of Nueva Grenada was a centralist unitary republic consisting primarily of present-day Colombia and Panama with smaller portions of today's Costa Rica, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru, and Brazil. It was created after the dissolution of Gran Colombia in 1830, with the secession of Ecuador and Venezuela.
Francisco Santander[]
Francisco de Paula Santander, full name Francisco José de Paula Santander y Omaña, was a military and political leader of Nueva Grenada and Gran Colombia, playing a key role in the 1810–1819 independence war of the United Provinces of New Granada. Known as The Man of the Laws, he was the acting President of Gran Colombia between 1819 and 1826, and later elected by Congress as the President of the Republic of Nueva Grenada between 1832 and 1837.

"Hail, Francisco de Paula Santander, The Man of the Laws, first President of Neuva Granada and acting President of Gran Colombia under the Libertador Simón Bolívar. Born under the yoke of Spanish oppression, you studied law and enlisted in the revolutionary army to fight for independence, rising up the ranks under you were a vanguard commander, fighting at the Battle of Vargas Swamp and Battle of Boyacá. Elected the Vice President of Gran Colombia, you functionally acted as president while Bolívar campaigned, overseeing economic and political crises. You believed in the sanctity of constitutional government and in the rule of law, leading to differences with Bolívar on issues of practicality. After an exile and the breakup of Gran Colombia, you returned from your European exile and assumed the Presidency of Neuva Granada. For four years, you then strengthened the country, and became the figurehead of liberalism in Colombia.
