New England[]
New England was a Colony of England which formed the basis for the later United States of America. Although this mod mostly focuses on the Province of Massachusetts Bay, New England was a rather large colony stretching from Nova Scotia to present-day New York and Rhode Island. The development of this colony helped forge the foundation of one of the world's leading superpowers, although the colony's history has left many divided.
William Stoughton[]
William Stoughton was one of the central figures of the Salem Witch Trials as well as Acting Governor of the Province of Massachusetts Bay. Stoughton showed no regret at his participation in the executions during the Salem Witch Trials, and his cruel nature has inspired stories about the Salem Witch Trials.

May Divine Judgement reach your fiendish foes, Judge Stoughton. You lead New England through its darkest days after the death of your compatriot, William Phips. Though harsh and unfair, the Salem Witch Trials proved yourself as a man of faith- if unfounded at that. Your judgements and subsequent executions were beyond horrifying, and the public’s complacency even moreso. Truly, if anyone spoke the tongue of God, it was you.
Devilish William Stoughton, the people have proven themselves to stray from the path of god! Your denizens fall to heresy and sin once more, and it is up to you to guide them to righteousness. Can you lead your people through trials and tribulations? Can you provide judgement upon those who deserve it, and deliver justice for all? Can you build a civilization that can stand the test of time?
Introduction: "Welcome to New England. My name is William Stoughton, and for the most part I oversee these people. Tell me... You haven't noticed anything strange, have you?"
