Liechtenstein

One of the smallest states in the world, the Principality of Liechtenstein was created through political expediency, but has been shaped by time to be one of the wealthiest nations in Europe.

Johann II

One of history's longest-reigning monarchs, Prince Johann II of Liechtenstein enacted many social reforms, expanded the princely house's art collections, and wisely kept his holdings out of World War I, steps which would greatly contribute to Liechtenstein's urbanization and prosperity.

Dawn of Man

"Welcome, Johann II, Prince of Liechtenstein and friend of the arts. The land you rule hails from humble origins, passing hands between competing lords before becoming the personal property of the house of Liechtenstein. Under your illustrious reign, you gave generously to the people under your care, commissioning the construction and renovation of many churches, palaces, and public buildings. But the greatest of your gifts would be the wealth of art housed in the princely stores, and a constitution which stands until the present day.
