"Peace be upon your great Sharif Hussein bin Ali of Mecca! During the Great War, you heralded the Arab cause for independence from the Ottoman Empire. Through the use of diplomacy you managed to receive aid from European powers that would prove instrumental in the war. Although these allies would ultimately go back on their promise of creating a Pan-Arab nation headed by the Hashemites, you would be awarded the Kingdom of Hejaz for your efforts. However, the greater legacy of the Arab Revolt would be the establishment of nearly all modern Middle Eastern countries, for which Arabs today still respect you.

Righteous Sharif, the Arab people have become disunited a require a grand leader to lead them to greatness once again. Can you create a broad coalition of allies to achieve your peoples's goals? Can you resist colonial intervention and insure independence? Can you build a civilization that will stand the test of time?

Requirements/Restrictions:

• Player must be Hejaz.
• Must have build a Grand Temple.
• May only be enacted once per game.

Costs:

• 1000 Gold
• 2 Magistrates.

Rewards:

• +8 Culture for the Grand Temple.
• +1_Num Culture (increases with number of global followers).
• +25% Tourism with other civs following your religion.

Construct the Hejaz Railway

In order to modernize our transport and warfare, we must establish a central railway for our nation.

Requirements/Restrictions:

• Player must be Hejaz.
• Must have researched Railroad.

Costs:

• 1500 Gold.
• 2 Magistrates.

Rewards:

• -50% Maintenance for roads.
• Cities connected to the Capital provide +10 XP to new units.
