The Great Khans led by Papa Khan are a custom civilization by RawSasquatch, with contributions from TopHatPaladin, Zharques, and Arilasqueto.

Overview[]

Great Khans[]

The Great Khans are a raider tribe of the Mojave Wasteland. They are the third incarnation of the Khans. The Great Khans are the only truly organized band of raiders in the Mojave and, as befits their warrior culture, men and women both can hold their own in a fight, whether in a brawl or a shootout. As a tribe however, the Great Khans are but a shadow of their former selves. Both their numbers and morale have been ravaged by a series of massacres and displacements. From their rocky stronghold at Red Rock Canyon, they make a living by drug-trafficking and the occasional raid or salvage find.

Papa Khan[]

Papa Khan is the patriarch and chieftain of the Great Khans in 2281. From their main camp at Red Rock Canyon, he oversees the tribe and its diplomatic relations between them and other factions of the Wasteland, such as their alliance with Caesar's Legion.

Dawn of Man[]

"Hail, Papa Khan, patriarch and chieftain of the Great Khans. Your tribe is in a despondent state, dealing and being addicted to any and every chem its possible for you to produce. Under your guidance, your people survived hardship after hardship, as you were progressively pushed further and further from your productive heartlands into suffering and obscurity, being pushed out of New Vegas by Mr. House, then massacred at Bitter Springs by the expansionary New California Republic, and left to rot in Red Rock Canyon, with no food, little water, and only drugs to trade.

Oh great Papa Khan, your once formidable tribe is a shell of its former self. You must decide what legacy you wish to leave, for both you and the Great Khans as a whole. Will you be the chieftain to restore the Great Khans to the legacy of the Khans of New California? Or will you leave no legacy at all? Will you rebuild the Great Khans into a fighting force that honours your traditions and your raider ancestors? Can you build a civilization that can stand the test of time?"

Introduction: "So the cub enters the wolf's den. What do you want, cub?"

Defeat: "So this is how our mighty history ends? So be it. We'll fight to the very last-- let nobody say the Khans were cowards!"

A Destiny Unburdened

Start at Peace with Barbarians, and gain Gold from Barbarian Units in your territory. Units lost in combat provide Production towards Settlers and Caravans, and Cities lost open additional Trade Route slots (Max 3).

  • May not Paradrop.
  • +2 Movement and may move after attacking.
  • Gains XP faster from combat in Neutral or Friendly territory.
DrugLab

Drug Lab (Hospital)
  • Yields less Food than the default Hospital (5 vs 3).
  • Provides a copy of the unique Chems luxury resource, which, when traded to another Civilization, reduces their Global Happiness by -10% (-25% if that Civilization owns a former Great Khans city).
  • Newly-trained melee/gun units in this city may choose the unique Promotions Jet (+1 Movement), Psycho (+15% Attack Bonus), or Med-X (+15% Defense Bonus) upon leveling up.
