Overview

Don Republic

The Don Republic, later known as the Almighty Don Host, was an independent self-proclaimed anti-Bolshevik republic formed by the Armed Forces of South Russia on the territory of Don Cossacks against another self-proclaimed Don Soviet Republic. The Don Republic existed during the Russian Civil War after the collapse of the Russian Empire from 1918 to 1920.

Pyotr Krasnov

Pyotr Nikolayevich Krasnov, also known as Peter Krasnov, was a Don Cossack historian and officer, promoted to Lieutenant General of the Russian army when the revolution broke out in 1917, one of the leaders of the counter-revolutionary White movement afterwards and a Nazi collaborator who mobilized Cossack forces to fight against the Soviet Union during World War II.

Dawn of Man

"Defend your glorious land against the evil forces which oppose you, oh Ataman Pyotr Krasnov. Coming from a military family, you commanded a Cossack Brigade in the Great War, serving in the forces loyal to Alexander Kerensky in the first shots of the Russian Civil War. After being captured, you fled to the Don region, being elected Ataman. Following this, despite being part of the White Movement, you entered negotiations with Germany for supplies to oust the Soviets. This strained your relationship with the Volunteer Army, leading to the Don Cossack Host keeping its own identity, with the Don Cossacks serving you as the ultimate authority. Obsessed with securing the city of Tsaritsyn, you were repelled and abandoned by your defeated German allies. For your blunders as a commander, you were not re-elected as Ataman, an in exile, became a supporter of the Third Reich, even serving as its puppet for the supposed government-in-exile of Cossackia at the end of the war.
