Crimea, led by Haci I Giray, is a custom civilization mod by More Civilisations, with contributions from Darth, Alga, JFD, Sas, TarcisioCM, and Zharques.
This mod requires Brave New World and adds Kyiv as a new City-state.

Crimea[]
The Crimean Khanate, officially Great Horde and Desht-i Kipchak, and known as Little Tatary, was a Crimean Tatar state existing from 1441 to 1783, the longest-lived of the Turkic khanates that succeeded the empire of the Golden Horde. Established by Haci I Giray, it was regarded as the direct heir to the Golden Horde and to Desht-i-Kipchak. In 1783 the Russian Empire annexed the khanate. Among the European powers, only France came out with an open protest against this act, due to the longstanding Franco-Ottoman alliance.
Haci I Giray[]
Haci I Giray was the founder of the Crimean Khanate and the Giray dynasty of Crimea, also known as Haci. As the Golden Horde was breaking up, he established himself in Crimea and spent most of his life fighting off other warlords. He was usually allied with the Lithuanians. He is said to have introduced the new state symbol, taraq tamga, which is derived from the scales insignia of the Golden Horde. A contemporary European source, The Chronicle of Dlugosz, described him as a person of outstanding personal values and a perfect governor.

Your Tatar forces quickly became feared across the steppe, ensuring that no Russian dare set foot in your lands.
