Overview[]

Dawn of Man[]

May the people's choice be vindicated, oh Sakurada Misaki! You have been chosen as the successor to your father Soichirou as the new ruler of Castle Town. While your confidence in your ability to lead has been scant in comparison to the more prominent choices such as Kanade, your goodwill and your willingness to serve others have ultimately granted you the kingship over your other siblings. With your twin brother Haruka at your side, the people trust that the combination of your service and your brother's calculation will bring Castle Town unprecendented prosperity.

Noble-hearted Misaki, the people look unto your willingness to lend a hand as a source of inspiration, and will follow you to the ends of the Earth knowing that your actions will benefit Castle Town in the long run. Are you ready to embark on a journey towards a better Castle Town? Will you forge the relationships necessary to secure peace for Castle Town? Can you build a civilization that will stand the test of time?

Unique Trait and Components[]

Castle Town (Sakurada Misaki)[]

All for One[]

First and every third unit that is hard produced or purchased is duplicated, and the duplicated unit may take action even if the original unit is purchased. The 3rd, and every 7th Greatperson Great People afterwards is also duplicated with the exception of the Great Prophet, although Great Prophets also count towards the duplication meter. Start with an extra Worker.

Laborer[]

(Replaces Worker)

  • Can be repositioned when starting a turn in friendly territory.
  • Duplicated units always become the Community Service Worker, which can be spent to acquire miniscule amount of Gold Gold and a decent chunk of Influence Influence with a city-state.

Oratorial Space[]

(replaces Bank)

  • +2 CultureIcon and +1 Tourism .
  • When built, grants a small Influence Influence boost with all city-state that the civilization has already met, and a bigger one with a city-state closest to the city.

Strategy[]

Like the preceding Castle Town civilizations, namely Aoi and Akane, Misaki's Castle Town is a pacifist civilization with little if any military bonus with some bonuses towards Greatperson Great People. Whereas Aoi focuses on the quality of the Great People, Misaki focuses on quantity, being able to clone the every 7th Great People that she acquires. While this puts Misaki behind Aoi when it comes to Science or Culture especially as Misaki's bonus is much more difficult to optimize, Misaki makes up for that with her ability to expand and develop tiles more quickly. Because her first hard produced civilian unit is duplicated, if Misaki chooses to train a Settler before a Worker (as Misaki is given one anyways), Misaki can quickly get her third city online well before other civilizations can. Because purchases also are affected, this also means Misaki can get a religious edge if choosing to actively spread her religion through missionaries.

With the Unique Ability accounted for, Misaki's UB and UU are all geared towards a Diplomatic Victory: whereas her UU by itself has no direct synergy with Diplomatic Victory, the Community Service Worker will be of use even after most viable tiles have been improved. In addition, while her UB is unreliable, the small boost in Culture, as well as the influence boost will help Misaki secure city-states necessary for a diplomacy victory.

Social Policy-wise, Misaki is fairly flexible. Whereas the lack of any military bonuses makes Honor a poor choice for Misaki, Misaki can use all the other starting trees fairly well. Aesthetics will also prove to be a fairly useful tree, as the bonuses towards Artistic Great People will help Misaki fill the duplication meter faster, and Humanism policy in Rationalism is also a great choice. Ideologically, Misaki will find any ideology useful: Order makes for a good choice aiding in Misaki's usually wide strategy, while Freedom will help Misaki spawn Great People, and Autocracy will help Misaki win a Cultural or Diplomatic Victory through the Futurism and Gunboat Diplomacy tenets respectively, although Misaki will also find Total War useful as duplicated units retain all bonuses that the original unit had should Misaki go for a Domination Victory.
