Overview

Argos

Considered one of the oldest cities in the world, Argos and its environs have borne witness to much of the gore and the glory of Greek history.

Pheidon

One of the greatest Argive kings, Pheidon made his city an important power in the Peloponnese region of ancient Greece.

Dawn of Man

"The people of Argos rise at your command, righteous and mighty King Pheidon. The homeland of the Argives is nourished by numerous lakes and rivers and sheltered by towering mountains, and brings forth much fruit for your people. It would also serve as the anvil upon which the armies of Sparta would be shattered by the hammer of your phalanxes, a force never before seen in the annals of the Greeks. With this victory, and the reforms of Argive laws and measures you enacted, the patrimony of Temenus would know a golden age. Though ephemeral, by these deeds you are rightly remembered as a descendant of Heracles.

O' valiant basileos, the daughters of fair Argos lie weeping, and her fields are trampled by foreign sandals. Can you shoulder the insurmountable labor of bringing her back to greatness? Can you raise high the Gorgon's head and dispel your monstrous foes? Can you create a civilization that willl stand the test of time?"

Art by DuskJockey Epilektoi (Swordsman) Does not require Iron, but halts city growth while being trained. Gains +25% Combat Strength when stacked with a civilian unit May be disbanded in friendly territory while at peace to increase the nearest city's population (up to three times per city).
